BCS Stays Hot in the Cold

Despite a chilly evening, BCS Sports managed to stay hot by defeating One Way 2-0.

From the opening whistle, BCS took control of the ball and dictated the pace.  After a series of failed BCS opportunities, Luis Delgado added to his league leading total thanks to a deflected shot, and gave BCS a 1-0 lead halfway through the first half.  Minutes later, Delgado nearly doubled the score with a close range shot that beat the One Way keeper but somehow ricocheted off both goalposts and out of play.

Following a brief intermission, One Way increased its intensity and pressure.  With the play and tempers getting a little chippy, Garry Schulthies erased all doubts, taking a square pass from David Salomon near the One Way box, fooling the fast approaching defender with a quick turn, and drilling a 10 yard shot past the keeper and into the near side upper V.  BCS calmly withstood the desperate One Way attack in the final minutes, and earned a well-deserved 2-0 victory.

With the win, BCS continues to keep pace with the top of the Champions League leaderboard, which has essentially become a four team race.  Next week, BCS looks to maintain its current form against Los Pives.

P.S. – In honor of the “flying bird” celebration some of the BCS goal scorers seem to prefer, here is a video with some new material.

Well, Juan, hard to disagree with you on that one. That 30 yard frozen rope, a/k/a pass to David was pretty special…
